JD has been really fascinated with the Power Rangers for over a year.  He hasn’t really seen a Power Rangers movie either but was fascinated because of the set of figurines that my dad gave him.  Almost everytime he plays with his Power Rangers figurines, he would say to me ”Wai Gong gave me these, they are special!”

He believes that Power Rangers can fly.  He likes to dress up as one but I haven’t been able to locate a Power Ranger dress-up suit in the toy libraries.  Not to worry.

I cut out a big piece of cardboard from one of the IKEA’s boxes, cut four holes, threaded two ribbons through and he got a set of wings.

These days you will find him riding on his bike, with his wings, his two drillers as he is also a policeman trying to catch a “baddy”.  He is funny.

Chloe isn’t prepared to lose out on any fun either.  She brought along JD’s Power Rangers wings to me and kept saying “Please, plesae, xia xia” as her way of asking me to get her one.  Easy peasy.  In front of her eyes, I “made” her a set of wings, heh!

JD said he is the Red Power Ranger and Chloe is the Pink Power Ranger.

I am just glad that she isn’t at the stage of asking me to get her a set of butterfly wings or a tiara yet … please never let those days come, hahaha …I think I will freeze when she asks for one!  I am hoping to stay away from all these princesses, tiara, butterfly fairies stuff for a while.  And I hope she does too, a big ask perhaps as she is already into my make up bag :(

The thing is there is nothing wrong with all the girly stuffs, but I just wasn’t brought up that way, so it’s just a bit hard for myself to imagine that.

For the moment, I am just happy that she is in the garden looking for bugs and snails together with all the boys :)
